A brief history of music - Up until March 2007 all of my musical work went under the name of ’The_Digital_Underground’ Everything thereafter is under the name of ’The Valentine’s Day Massacre’ or ’TheVDM’ for short.
Digital Evil (TheVDM) – Digital Evil is the darker brother of Classical Pulse, although it still shows some classical influence, especially in the track ‘Substance.’ The album is due to have an evil theme, this theme comes out in the track ‘Massacre’ which features recordings from an interview with Charles Manson. Despite the album mainly being aimed towards psytrance it will also feature a couple of slightly dark industrial tracks like ‘Concentrated Fear.’
Classical Pulse (TheVDM) – Classical Pulse will feature a number of electronic tracks that are based on classical music, it will also feature a few tracks written from scratch although these will be of a toned down classical nature, this project may well take a long time to finish.
24th March 2007 ’The Valentine’s Day Massacre’ is born.
No More TV (The_Digital_Underground) - No More TV was written in the latter part of 2006 although it was never fully completed and has laid dormant ever since, the theme on No More TV starts to creep off towards my original electronic experimental music again although it does feature a couple of commercial style tracks.
Finding Space (The_Digital_Underground) - Finding Space was written at the same time as Evolution as a side line project, the track Finding Space can also be found on the album Evolution.
Evolution (The_Digital_Underground) - Evolution was written in early 2006, the style of music started to veered towards commercial trance at this stage, although I feel that this was me trying to experiment with different styles of electronic music.
In_My_Mind (The_Digital_Underground) - In_My_Mind was written in early 2005 and mainly used unusual digital synthesizers. Each track on this album represents my mood at the time of writing. This album was formed a large step forward in to my interest in electronic music. Although my music from this era is silmpler (and probably appeals to a smaller audience) I enjoy listining to it the most, so I plan to go back to the basics and write in a similar style to this in the future.
The Lonely Quater (The_Digital_Underground) - This project was written around 2002, it is the first ever electronic music project that I worked on, although there was good potential in this album the music was fairly basic due to the equipment used and my skills, although is a landmark for the beginning of my music interest.
